Expando Secures Orders from Regional Armed Forces and Leading NewSpace Corporation

Expando today announces the successful acquisition of two significant contracts, totaling SEK 10 million. One order involves rugged servers tailored for tactical edge computing applications, commissioned by Armed Forces in the Nordic region. Simultaneously, a leading Nordic “NewSpace” corporation has entrusted Expando with the supply of space-grade memories and power systems for advanced surveillance satellites.

The term “NewSpace” signifies a category of emerging aerospace enterprises focused on pioneering cost-efficient access to space and advancing spaceflight technologies. Essentially, NewSpace encapsulates the private space industry, spanning diverse sectors such as private launch companies and the development of satellite constellations.

These agreements further solidify Expando’s standing as the preferred provider of state-of-the-art technological solutions within the defense and aerospace sectors.

– Securing these contracts for tactical edge computing and NewSpace applications respectively demonstrates that our focus on both of these sectors is strategically aligned. The orders underscore strong growth potential, mirroring the increasing demands within these expanding sectors, says Otto Johnsson, CEO of Expando.

Expando’s commitment to adaptation and customer-centricity has firmly positioned the company as a leader in rugged computing electronics for defense, space, and aerospace industries. Leveraging extensive expertise and a proven track record in delivering rugged servers and hardware solutions, combined with advanced defense, space, and civilian aerospace electronics, Expando is driving towards a leadership position in this dynamic market.

– We look forward to continuing our successful partnerships. Our offerings are based on Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions, tailored to each customer’s specific needs. This approach allows us to significantly reduce delivery time, costs, and risks for our customers, concludes Otto Johnsson.

Deliveries are scheduled for the end of 2023.
